  1. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Add pecans to a small sauté pan over medium heat. Cook until slightly toasted and fragrant, tossing to prevent burning, about 5 minutes.
  3. Drizzle maple syrup evenly over pecans and stir continuously to prevent burning. Cook for another 3–4 minutes, until the liquid evaporates and the syrup caramelizes.
  4. Spread nuts on parchment paper, separate them as much as possible, and quickly sprinkle with salt.
  5. Cool completely and enjoy as a snack or salad topping.
