
Cranberry Walnut Cheeseball
This crowd-pleasing cheeseball combines sweet cranberry, crunchy walnuts, and creamy cheese for a perfect party appetizer. Serve with fruit, crackers, or veggies for a festive and flavorful snack.
Ingredients
- 1 package Cranberry & Walnut Dip Mix
- 1/8 cup hot water
- 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
- Chopped or ground nuts (optional)
Directions
- Add 1/8 cup hot water to Cranberry & Walnut Dip Mix, stir with fork, and let set for 15 minutes.
- Soften cream cheese in microwave at 30-second intervals until smooth. Add prepared dip mix and mix well.
- Line a small bowl with plastic wrap, letting excess hang over edges. Place cream cheese mixture into bowl, pack down, and smooth top. Fold plastic wrap over top.
- Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours. Remove from fridge, flip bowl to release cheeseball, and shape into a round ball. Remove plastic wrap.
- Optional: Roll cheeseball in chopped walnuts, graham cracker crumbs, or ground vanilla wafers.
- Serve with apple slices, celery sticks, wheat thins, graham cracker sticks, vanilla wafers, or animal crackers.
Recipe Note
Variation: Use one 8 oz can of well-drained crushed pineapple (in its own juice). Omit the water. Stir mix into pineapple and let set for 15 minutes, then proceed with the rest of the recipe.
