Cranberry Walnut Cheeseball

This crowd-pleasing cheeseball combines sweet cranberry, crunchy walnuts, and creamy cheese for a perfect party appetizer. Serve with fruit, crackers, or veggies for a festive and flavorful snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Cranberry & Walnut Dip Mix
  • 1/8 cup hot water
  • 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
  • Chopped or ground nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Add 1/8 cup hot water to Cranberry & Walnut Dip Mix, stir with fork, and let set for 15 minutes.
  2. Soften cream cheese in microwave at 30-second intervals until smooth. Add prepared dip mix and mix well.
  3. Line a small bowl with plastic wrap, letting excess hang over edges. Place cream cheese mixture into bowl, pack down, and smooth top. Fold plastic wrap over top.
  4. Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours. Remove from fridge, flip bowl to release cheeseball, and shape into a round ball. Remove plastic wrap.
  5. Optional: Roll cheeseball in chopped walnuts, graham cracker crumbs, or ground vanilla wafers.
  6. Serve with apple slices, celery sticks, wheat thins, graham cracker sticks, vanilla wafers, or animal crackers.

Recipe Note

Variation: Use one 8 oz can of well-drained crushed pineapple (in its own juice). Omit the water. Stir mix into pineapple and let set for 15 minutes, then proceed with the rest of the recipe.
