Peppercorns, White Pepper

Americans owe much to pepper as it was the reason explorers searched for a new route to the East. Why? Because at the time it was worth its weight in gold! Sarawak peppercorns come from Malaysia. They are picked when ripe, the water is used to loosen their dark outer husk, which is removed. White pepper has a clean flavor and is more common in Europe for a "table spice" than it is in the U.S.
